Education; having completed his Degree in Hospitality Business Management from Manchester Metropolitan University UK & Executive Leadership Program from Cornell University.

During his education, he was the first Indian to have been elected as a Student Union President for his university in a college where he led more than 22000 students, Arjun Datta was also the first Indian to have been elected as a member of the Board of Governors for his college.

He was selected to work for many high profile catering opportunities including working as a personal chef at the IIFA awards held in UK and many international assignments including working as a senior member of a consultancy firm in Dubai to launch a chain of restaurants.

Presently, Mr. Arjun S Datta is the Chief Operating Officer at the International Institute of Culinary Arts, New Delhi and is responsible for ensuring international standards of quality education at the institute, he is also responsible for Business Development, Strategic Alliances and Head of Marketing.

Arjun Datta has played an instrumental role in signing some of the most significant business agreements for IICA including:

  • Feast Global, an international organization, welcomes Arjun Datta as a new member of its advisory board.
  • Whirlpool appointed IICA as a Chef & Food Consultant and Associate Institute in 2014
  • Ministry of Work & Labour for the Government of Germany appointed IICA as the nodal agency for skill testing of all the chefs migrating to Germany 2006 till date.
  • Big Synergy (TV Production Co.) appointed IICA as the key consultants for their television show “Foodistan” in 2013.
  • IICA received the contract for training and development of menu and recipe standardization for the staff on the Royal train “Maharaja Express” in 2013.
  • IICA was given the special assignment to create the record size cake (250 kg) on the occasion of – World Toilet Day in 2013.
  • IICA was given the mandate to test and verify the use of “Fridge-Smart” containers by Tupperware, and based on the report submitted by IICA, New Delhi; Tupperware is using IICA’s report and logo to promote its’ product.
  • IICA received the assignment to develop and standardize select Indian Curries for a private firm in Japan for bulk production and resale.
