We are pleased to announce that the International Institute of Culinary Arts (IICA), New Delhi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Holiday Inn New Delhi International Airport - An IHG® Hotel, giving IICA, New Delhi the prestigious status of an IHG Academy®.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Arjun S. Data - Managing Director and COO, IICA, and Mr. Amit Rana - General Manager, Holiday Inn New Delhi International Airport on September 13, 2023, in the presence of esteemed leaders including Chef Sumit Sabharwal - Executive Chef, Mr. Mukesh Kumar - Director of Human Resources, Mr. Aviral Shukla - Learning & Quality Manager and Ms. Kuhoo Chauhan - Head – Marketing & Sales, IICA.
The MoU aims to synergize the professional capabilities of IICA and IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) towardscapacity building, education, research, and consulting in the domain of culinary arts. The MoU also providesopportunities to exchange knowledge and resources between IICA and the InterContinental Hotels Group forconducting research, training, and consulting.

IHG Academy® is a global program by InterContinental Hotels Group that provides opportunities for local people todevelop skills and improve their employability in the hospitality industry. As an IHG Academy, our students areoffered opportunities for internships, industrial visits, and corporate recruitment programs. IHG Academy® willalso support us with other development programs.
IICA is India’s premier culinary institute and the country’s first culinary institute to be accredited by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS). The institute offers various courses, such as the Advance Diploma in Culinary Arts, Diploma in Bakery & Patisserie, and Hobby Chef Courses. IICA has churned out over 2800 students in the past 18 years who are gainfully employed in leading culinary establishments or have their own set-up establishments.
In addition to this, IICA is also the preferred culinary institute & knowledge partner to leading multinationalcompanies across the world. Our scope of work with the corporate & embassies has varied from Promotions ofCuisines, Research & Development, Culinary Master Classes & Mass Demonstrations, Product Development &Endorsements along with supporting their respective initiatives in the capacity of a culinary knowledge partner andprovide full support of our highly trained faculty and students as well as provide for our kitchens and classroomsfor the purpose of hosting important events.
The MoU between IICA and IHG will provide students with an opportunity to learn from industry experts and gainpractical experience in the hospitality industry. It will also help them develop the skills they need to succeed intheir careers.
